| Q: How much is the teenage 30/8 program? | |
| A: The total cost for this program is $475.00 | |
| Q: Can I take my License test through A & E Driving School, LLC? | |
| A: A & E can schedule an appointment at New Britain DMV. The fee for this is $100.00 which includes use of the student driver vehicle. (An additional fee of $40.00 is payable to the DMV for testing.) | |
| Q: Do you offer the 8 hour safe driving program that students under 18 are required to take if they are not taking a 30/8 hour Driver’s Education program? | |
| A: A & E does offer this program. The fee is $120.00. Please call or email A & E to find out when the next 8 hour program is being offered. | |
| Q: I am under 18 and obtained my learners permit prior to August 1, 2008. How many hours of behind the wheel am I required to do? | |
| A: If your learner’s permit was issued prior August 1, 2008 you are required to do 20 hours behind the wheel. | |
| Q: I am under 18 and obtained my learners permit after August 1, 2008. How many hours of behind the wheel am I required to do? | |
| A: If your learner’s permit was issued after August 1, 2008 you are required to do 40 hours behind the wheel. | |
| Q: If I have to do 20 hours behind the wheel does it have to be done through a driving school? | |
| A: Included in the 30/8 teenage program 8 hours of behind the wheel time is included. The remaining 12 hours can be completed by a parent / guardian. We do offer additional driving hours outside of the 30/8 package for $55.00 per hour. | |
| Q: I am over 18 and interested in behind the wheel lessons, what is the fee? | |
| A: Behind the wheel training is the same for adults and teens, $55.00 per hour. | |
| Q: What is the classroom schedule? | |
| A: Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6-8 PM. | |
| Q: When can I enroll? | |
| A: The classroom schedule allows for continuous enrollment providing there is seating available. Please call or email to find out when openings will be available. Enrollment can be done after classes at 8 PM or by calling for appointment. | |
| Q: When are behind the wheel lessons given? | |
| A: Driving hours can be scheduled for any day of the week depending on what works best for your schedule. | |
